The information we hold
- Contact and job details from the form (name, email, postcode, job type, message, consent).
- Connection data (IP address, browser and device information) that our hosting service processes to serve and secure the website.
We ask you not to include health or other special category information in a message.
Why we use it and the legal basis
We use your details to reply to your enquiry and to arrange a survey or quote. Where we pass your enquiry to an independent tradesperson so they can quote, we share only what they need to contact you about that job. Under UK GDPR we rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and on our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and running our business (Article 6(1)(f)). We do not use your details for marketing and we never sell them.
Recipients of your data
We share personal data with a small number of recipients: FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards enquiries to us as our processor and may process them outside the UK under the safeguards UK law requires; Cloudflare, which hosts this site; the independent tradesperson quoting for your job; and anyone we must share it with by law.
Do we use cookies?
None for tracking: we run no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies on this website.
How long your data is kept
We keep enquiries for up to 2 years after our last contact with you and then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your rights
You are entitled to see your data, correct it, have it erased, limit or object to our use of it, and to data portability. Requests made through the contact details above are answered within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
When this policy changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
